AVAIL Jar Test Shows How Crop Yield Increase Is Achieved

Reduce Phosphorus Fixation

Most applied phosphorus isn’t available for plant uptake, due to micronutrients, such as iron, magnesium and calcium bonding with it in the soil.

This Verdesian AVAIL demonstration uses two hard water samples, one untreated and one treated with AVAIL. You’ll see us add 3 drops of Phosphorus to each hard water sample.

The demonstration clearly shows Phosphorus fixation occurring in hard water when applied P is untreated. Whereas when applied P was added to the hard water sample treated with AVAIL no fixation occurred, allowing more available P for plant uptake.

Amplify Applied P

Phosphorus is an essential nutrient in crop production. It fuels nearly every stage of plant growth, encouraging healthier plants and a stronger yield potential.

Phosphorus is a negatively charged element that bonds with positively charged elements in your soil, including many micronutrients such as calcium, magnesium and iron. These bonds fix phosphorus in the soil, making it unavailable for plant uptake.

AVAIL phosphorus fertiliser enhancer from Verdesian reduces the fixation of applied P, keeping more of it available for plant uptake.

Optimise Plant Uptake

Please click here to see our short 1 minute video on how AVAIL actually creates a negatively charged shield in the micro zone around the applied phosphorus fertilizer granule, which causes elements in the soil to bond with AVAIL, keeping more of the applied phosphorus free and available to the plant.

Over the past 5 years, 35 Avail trials across 7 countries with data from 7 different crops, demonstrated an average yield increase of 5.1% averaged across all yield crops. These results were collated across a wide range of climatic conditions and soil types with soil pH ranging from 5.5 to 8.5.
