Industrieverband Agrar - IVA
The IVA is an industrial association in Germany for agriculture enabling critical and constructive dialogue with our stakeholders. In cooperation with its partners, but also critics, the IVA makes an important contribution to sustainable agriculture.
The IVA brings a long tradition as an important branch of the agrochemical industry and has a wide variety of members, from large-scale research to medium-sized companies. The Association has wide-ranging specialist expertise for knowledge exchange from a single source.
As well as a traditional, well-founded understanding of agriculture, combined with contemporary demands on integrated and sustainable crop production.Verdesian Life Sciences Europe is an active member of IVA and currently has a representative on the board of the biostimulant sector.

The European Biostimulant Industry Council - EBIC
The European Biostimulant Industry Council (EBIC) promotes the contribution of plant biostimulants across Europe to make agriculture more sustainable and resilient and in doing so promotes the growth and development of the European Biostimulant Industry. EBIC was founded in June 2011 as the European Biostimulant Industry Consortium and changed its named when it gained legal identity in 2013.
Verdesian Life Sciences Europe is an active member of EBIC and currently has a representative on the board and also representatives across a number of internal Task Forces.

Agricultural Industries Confederation - AIC
The Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC) is the UK’s agri supply industry’s leading trade association. Formed in October 2003 by a merger of three trade associations, AIC has over 230 Members in the agri supply trade and represents £8 billion turnover at farmgate.
AIC’s Fertiliser Sector represents over 95% of the UK’s agricultural fertiliser supply industry, worth about £2bn. It seeks to support its members’ interests through providing a comprehensive lobbying, advice and statistics service, sharing technical, transport and storage information and promoting fertiliser security to help maintain a vibrant and growing sector.
Verdesian Life Sciences Europe is a member of AIC Fertiliser Sector.

University College Dublin
The UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science is the only academic institution in Ireland that delivers education and research on the complete food chain from initial on farm production through processing to final consumption by the consumer.
The School supports the agri-food industry in Ireland by educating students to become industry leaders and by conducting world class research.Verdesian Life Sciences Europe is currently working with UCD to test technologies to improve the nutrient efficiency of urea based nitrogen fertilisers and to reduce environmental impact.

University of Nottingham - School of Biosciences
World-leading research delivering bioscience discoveries for a changing world.
The research addresses key real-world issues in microbial, plant, animal, food and environmental sciences. The School has dynamic programmes of fundamental and multi-disciplinary research supported by national and international funders.
The School applies research, knowledge and technology to make lasting improvements to the environment, economy and society. They do this by making sure the research is relevant to global stakeholders; from businesses, public and third sector organisations and the general public.
Verdesian Life Sciences Europe is currently working with UoN to test biostimulant technologies to improve the nutrient efficiency of macro and micro nutrient inputs and to clearly identify key modes of action.

Christian- Albrechts University of Kiel (CAU) – Institute of Phytopathology
Maintaining plant health is a fundamental goal of phytomedicine at CAU. In particular, it is necessary to ensure an economically and environmentally responsible production of food of sufficient quantity and quality. This places high demands on basic and applied research in the entire field of phytomedicine.
Phytomedical research at CAU includes biological studies on the occurrence of abiotic and biotic factors, especially plant surveys on the impact of cropping systems on the development of pathogens and pests with special reference to crop protection. For a broad research which considers all possible damaging factors and which focuses on the crop plant and its health, a multidisciplinary, biologically, economically and ecologically oriented development of plant protection measures isrequired.
Verdesian Life Sciences Europe is currently working with CAU to test biostimulant technologies to improve the nutrient efficiency and to clearly identify key modes of action.

Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) - Faculty of Crop Science
The Faculty of Crop Science of the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA), was founded in June 1989 and is the firstUniversity Faculty of Crop Science founded in Greece. The mission of the Faculty is to provide high quality University education for the sustainable improvement, both in quantity and quality, of plant production. In addition, to create new knowledge on Crop Science by means of both basic and applied research, and to tackle problems of the rural sector related to the Faculty's scientific fields.
Verdesian Life Sciences Europe has worked with AUA to evaluate Verdesian’s technology abilities to improve the nutrient efficiency of urea based nitrogen and phosphate fertilisers and to assess their environmental impact.

The Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops - Novi Sad
In May 2018, the Institute became the National Institute of the Republic of Serbia, thanks to hard work and valuable results implemented into agricultural practices during the 80 years of work which brought the Institute international scientific recognition.
The main activity of the Institute is basic and applied research, aimed at development of cultivars and hybrids of field and vegetable crops, forage and industrial crops, medicinal plants, and spices. Institute’s fundamental activity has been divided among eight departments, two laboratories and two service-providing units.
Verdesian Life Sciences Europe has worked with the Institute to asses biostimulant and inoculant technologies to improve the nutrient efficiency of macro and micro nutrient inputs across a number of crops.

The Phosphite Biostimulant Stewardship Group (PBSG)
The Phosphite Biostimulant Stewardship Group (PBSG) was created by a group of like-minded biostimulant manufacturers. With the to persuade the European regulators to allow the continued use of phosphite as a biostimulant, enabling subsequent EU registration under biostimulant regulations.
Phosphite has been used as a biostimulant for many years. It is a well-established, cost effective, proven technology used by farmers across Europe on a wide range of crops. The PBSG has collaborated with the University of Nottingham and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) to research the mode of action of phosphite as a biostimulant.
The PBSG is funded by its members and focuses on generating and communicating scientific evidence of phosphite’s efficacy as a biostimulant in order to retain its use for the benefit of European farmers.
Verdesian Life Sciences Europe is an active member of PBSG.
