NutriSphere-N® - Retain More Nitrogen for Plant Uptake

NutriSphere-N keeps more nitrogen from urea based fertilisers available for plant uptake and inhibits the three losses of nitrogen - as emissions of ammonia, and ntrous oxide (a potent greenhouse gas) as well as leaching of nitrates into ground water.

NutriSphere-N shields nitrogen on a molecular level by inhibiting enzymes and keeping more nitrogen in the immobile ammonium form for a longer period of time. That means less leaching ( 21% reduction), less emissions (ammonia 85% reduction, nitrous oxide 61% reduction) and up to x4 more usable nitrogen as ammonium compared to untreated urea fertiliser to aid the health and development of the plant.

NutriSphere-N has been assessed by “conformity assessment bodies” under the new FPR 2019-1009 regulation (effective July 2022) and has been proven to be complaint under the criteria set out in section PFC 5C of the FPR – urease inhibitor. Under this compliance ruling NutriSphere -N is granted a CE mark as a urease inhibitor and can be marketed across all EU countries.

NutriSphere-N^® Nitrogen Fertilizer Enhancer recently obtained a Marketing Authorisation (AMM) with a volatilisation claim from ANSES, the French National Agency for Food and Environment Security, making the product from Verdesian Life Sciences the first to earn this claim. In addition, NutriSphere-N now has two recognised and validated claims: “Limitation of nitrogen loss by volatilisation” plus “Improved nitrogen availability for the plant” for use on a wide range of crops. With this latest announcement, NutriSphere-N can apply a mutual recognition in granting its use in Spain, Italy, Portugal, and many other countries.
